Ava's Baby Room Reveal

Hey guys! I'm so excited to share Ava's baby room with you tonight. It's one of my favorite rooms I've created, ever. Ava was with me while I was photographing the room yesterday, and therefore she is in every picture. Fun fact, toddlers don't care what you are trying to accomplish. 

You are subject to their terms.

Also, I had about 10 minutes to clean this room, which basically involved opening the blinds and pushing Ava's toys into the corner. This is my current version of 'styling'. It's authentic and real and oh so janky.

The Renovation Has Officially Begun: Part One

The renovation has finally begun! 

As many of you know (especially if you've been following on Instagram), we've been in our new house now for a little over a month, scheduling contractors and doing some light renovation work ourselves (aka me painting in my sweatpants every night). But, finally this week, we began the actual renovation.

New House Tour!!!!

Hey y'all. It's finally new house tour time!

Thank you for being so patient with me. I've wanted to share these pics with you for nearly a month now. But, I've been busy...and also busy...and also scared.

I'm used to sharing ugly before pics followed by a nice after picture, and it's really hard for me to be vulnerable and just be like, 'Hey look at my house! It's still ugly, y'all!'.


But, I've been thinking a lot about it, and I realize that I miss out on so much when I don't share the entire journey with you guys, so let's just do it. I'll be uncomfortable. I can do it. There are worse things.

I can barely believe it's been a year since this precious little human was born. I look at that picture to the left and my heart melts. I forgot she was ever that tiny.

How We Sold Our House in a Week (and the final house tour)!

I have great news! The morning after I wrote last week's post, we got an offer on our home and it is now under contract! Thank you for all of your well wishes and encouragement. I truly appreciate it so much! If you've been following along, you know that things have been a little crazy, with us buying our next fixer upper and selling our current house all in just a few short weeks.

I have some big news!

Hey ya'll. I have some exciting news. There's so much going on to tell you guys about. We'll get to the big stuff in a minute. But, first, Ava turns a year old on June 23rd and I can barely believe it. Who knew you could love another person so intensely?! 
And we can't even conversate yet! Although she does say 'TeeTee' (Tootie), dada, ball, and duck. 
(Priorities, obviously.)

I have a quick and easy DIY gold leaf painting for you today! It took me less than half an hour to make, and along the way I discovered some gold paint that actually looks like real gold leaf (without all of the hassle of applying real gold leaf). 
Because with a 6 month old baby, I have approximately 3 seconds to pursue anything creative. So, like who has time for difficult things.
