I was recently asked by Mohawk Flooring to review their new Smart Strand Carpet. When the carpet arrived in the mail this week, I wanted to make sure I gave it a very thorough testing.
When you ask me to review a rug, THIS gal doesn't mess around.
So.......this happened. Alone. In my room. With a tripod.
(They said to TEST it. Is that not what they meant?)
I'm still kind of laughing to myself, thinking 'what if a neighbor just happened to be spying on me?!'. And if so, that was probably the most ridiculous hour of their year. It took me about a dozen handstands to be able to capture it on camera (These brittle bones aren't 14 anymore!), and I definitely flopped over on my back like a beached whale at least twice. Not to mention, at one point I actually tried a log-roll and a few toe-touches.
That series of events did not make the photo-collage cut.
So, now that I have your attention, (because rolling around on my new rug for an hour makes me a rug expert), let me tell you a little bit about this snazzy new carpet.
Basically. Mohawk and DuPont have teamed up to introduce a revolutionary new carpet called Smart Strand. Smart Strand is the carpet with built-in stain and soil resistance that won't wear and wash off.
Let me tell you what else I loved about this carpet:
It was totally gorgeous, plush, and worked effortlessly in nearly every room in our house!
It was a really pretty neutral green.

I loved it in the living room!
and I loved it in the bedroom, too! What's a girl to do?!
It's truly a tough choice. I'm thinking of keeping it in the bedroom for now because of how soft and plush it is. There's just something about walking around on it barefoot that makes me happy.
That's all for today, folks!
Please note: Handstands were performed on a closed course by a handstand-professional. Don't be an amoeba and try to recreate this on your own area rug. I will not be held responsible for your bruised booties.
And of course, a big thank you to Mohawk for providing me with this rug. All opinions in this post are my own, as always! :)
