DIY Paint Chip Art

Today I made some fun new art using a bunch of old paint chips I had laying around the house. Anybody else have a million paint chips stuffed in every drawer? Or is that just me?

I recently found some art at the thrift store that was just begging for a facelift. The bird prints were okay, but they just didn't go with my decor. But that's the great thing about thrift store finds. You don't have to be afraid to mess something up when you've only paid $3 for it!

They caught my eye because they were custom framed and matted, and the frames were made from bamboo. So, I took everything apart to see exactly what I was working with.

And then I decided to spray paint the frames silver and spray paint the mats white.

Next, I got all of my paint chips together.

I cut them up into little strips and just started playing with them. I arranged them into a cityscape and I immediately knew I was onto something!

And then I put everything back together! Not bad for a little $3 art, huh?

That's all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
